Job description

Working in the Fiber Optics Instrumentation Office, the engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, conception, étude et mesure
  • Pose de fibre optique et intégration de systèmes sur le terrain et en atelier. Exploitation des données et rapport de projet.
  • Gestion de projet : définir un cahier des charges en lien avec les objectifs de la clientèle, assurer le suivi du projet, coordonner des ingénieurs et des techniciens, collaborer avec des sous-traitants).
  • Proposition et déploiement des axes de R&D (nouveaux produits, procédés …).
  • Proposition d’améliorations des produits existants et des processus internes.

Pixel Sur Mer is a fast-growing company currently employing 25 people in the heart of Lorient’s Sailing Valley. To support our development, we are recruiting an instrumentation engineer (M/F).

Profil REQUIRED

  • Engineering level/ 5 years' higher education (mechanical, structural or naval engineering)
  • Proficiency in fibre optic measurement technologies (Bragg grating)
  • Good knowledge of the mechanics of continuous media (strength of materials) and composite materials.
  • Ability to make proposals and successfully complete R&D projects.
  • Good command of English
  • Experience in the maritime or aeronautical sector desirable
