Romain Guyard
Optic Fiber Manager
Romain have a very rich university background, completed with a PhD in Physics, Guided-wave Optics and Mechanics about the design of an optical fiber sensor architecture for the multi-axial measurement of deep materials deformation.
Following his PhD, Romain then orientated his career toward Research and Development. A first experience within CAPACITES company led him to design fiber optic sensors for deformation measurement, temperature and curvature for civil engineering structures.
Finally, he presents an experience within ARMINE (IMT Mines d’Albi) on the NESSIE research project (Novel Efficient Survey Ship InitiativE), a project aiming to develop a range of new generation monohull scientific vessel made of composite materials.
Romain joined Pixel sur Mer at the beginning of 2020 to take over responsibility for the Fiber Optic division. Referent on all subjects relating to this technology, he advises our customers on their installation project, defines and deploys them. At the same time, he ensures for Pixel Sur Mer a permanent technological survey with continuous improvement goal on our Fiber Optic solutions.
